All in one place: Advice. Testing. Treatment.

At the Checkpoint, you will find a comprehensive, quality-assured range of services around HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) – from counselling and testing to direct medical treatment.

Our work is based on binding professional, medical, and hygiene standards. Counselling and testing are carried out exclusively by certified HIV/STI counsellors who have completed structured training with observation, supervision, regular further education, and recertification.

Before each test, a structured counselling session is conducted according to professional guidelines. The testing itself follows standardized procedures while adhering to all hygiene and data protection requirements.

A particular advantage: thanks to the on-site medical connection, we can immediately initiate further diagnostics and treatment in the event of a positive result. Counselling, testing, and therapy are seamlessly integrated – no one is left alone with a result.

Advice.

At our Checkpoint, certified HIV/STI counsellors are available to support you anonymously and free of charge with all questions related to HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). We provide guidance on:

  • Possible transmission routes
  • Your personal risk management
  • Individual concerns and questions

More information about our counselling services can be found here.

Testing.

At our Checkpoint, we offer anonymous laboratory and rapid tests for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, hepatitis, gonorrhoea, and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Before each test, we inform you about possible transmission routes, explain the testing procedure, and discuss your personal risk management.

Treatment.

If we detect an infection at our Checkpoint or you have symptoms of a sexually transmitted infection (STI), you can, after consultation, be treated on-site by our doctor.

You can visit us during our opening hours without an appointment (see “Opening Hours” below) or schedule an appointment via Terminland.de.
